Carers' health and wellbeing Taking a break

Taking a break

Taking a break

Breaks are vital for your wellbeing and quality of life. A break could mean:

  • meeting friends
  • pursuing a hobby
  • having some time for yourself
  • going on holiday

Make sure you get a break regularly, even for a few hours. Use these breaks to enjoy an interest, relax or socialise if you can, rather than do chores like grocery shopping.

VOCAL's video below describes the difference a short break can make to a carer.
