Carer's assessment Support you can get

Support you can get

Support you can get

You might get support for:

  • short breaks - with or without the person you care for
  • help with housework
  • time to enjoy a hobby or see friends
  • emotional support
  • training to help you in your caring role

You can choose what help you feel you need.

If you have a carer's assessment and your council offers you support in your caring role, it can't charge you for it.

If support is given to the person you're caring for after an assessment of their care needs, they may be charged separately for this help.
