Benefits and work

As well as getting support in returning to work, it's important to find out about any benefit implications.

If you're ready to look for a job, benefits like Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) - details on the UK Government's GOV.UK website - can help you.

GOV.UK also have information on Carer's Allowance. You may still be eligible for this as a working carer, as long as you earn no more than the earning's limit after certain deductions.

Jobcentre Plus gives you advice on how returning to work might affect your income and benefits.

GOV.UK has information on benefits and moving from benefits to work.

The information was last updated on: 12th May 2015
